The Gatherings…
The beautiful thing with what we are trying to do as an intentional community here in Bend, Oregon is that we really don’t want to get anyone anywhere… the point is to not have an agenda, but to meet each other where we are at and to extend the invitation to a wonderfully loving and supportive community. In this, perhaps we can restore some hope to people in Christians, and in turn, Jesus himself. Let’s face it, people are losing hope in Christians these days.
So we don’t want to do anything extraordinary. Nothing really special… just be friends, love people, and get creative about how we might be connected within our various communities. Here are a few ways we do this (Follow the links):

Hi Nate,
I love what you have going here. It appears to be the kind of community I’ve been looking for- for quite some time.
I was especially moved by your writing about becoming a bridge-builder, and the difficulty and isolation that often accompanies this task. I can relate.
Overall, you remind me again of Mother Teresa’s words, “We can do no great things, only small things with great love.”
